About The 1- Hour Tour
The 1- hour sightseeing tour is the perfect trail riding experience for anyone looking to just get out and break away from the normal routine of work and no fun. Texas Border Tours is conveniently located in Progreso, Texas, a small community south of Weslaco, nestled between McAllen and Brownsville, it is located about half a mile north of the Progreso International Bridge that borders the Mexican town of Nuevo Progreso, Tamaulipas.

The logistics of how we are doing the tours has changed temporarily
until we get a more permanent solution worked out. The way it works
is that we still meet here at office in Progreso, TX, we then load up
the ATVs on  trailer and travel about 15 miles north of our location to
a place that has the perfect landscape to ride ATVs. We can shuttle
you there to the location or you can follow us in your car, whichever is
more convenient for you. Most customers follow us in their car
because after the tour ends, they can just part from there. Others that
choose to be shuttled we take you and bring you back to your car.
Everyone has experienced the 1-hour tour has giving it great reviews. You
definitely will not be disappointed.

What To Expect

Once we arrive to the off-roading location, we unload the ATVs
from the trailer and our adventure begins. As soon as we start you
will be met with uneven terrain, steep slopes, inclines, declines, hills,
bumps, holes, mud and sand.

If this is your first time on an ATV make sure you let your guide know because the first obstacles will be challenging and in some cases
darn right scary, but not too scary. With first time riders your guide will get you familiarize with the machine and the trail, so you can make the most out of your experience. The first  part of the trail is creep and crawl over uneven terrain, natural barriers, man made barriers, holes, trenches and mounds of dirt that make this experience unique.

$99 per ATV (seats 2 people)
$149 per SXS (seats 4 people)

The trail takes about 30-40 minutes to go through it one time around, the remainder of the time, we go out of the area and hit flat ground for a few miles taking in the countryside. In some cases, since there is a natural ground pond at the location where we ride, we have stopped in multiple occasions to go swimming. The water is clean ground water but it is very salty, more than the ocean believe it or not.

After riding for a while, you get dusty, dirty and hot, and just like that we take a swim to cool off. If this sounds like something you want to do, make sure to let the guide know so we can make it happen for you. Remember this is your time, your experience and we want to make sure you make the most of it.

You can see a lot more pictures and videos on our Facebook page if you want to get more on what the area looks like and what to expect.
